I would like to introduce you to a special group of people, a group that I have been with since July of 1987, a group that I have come to love and appreciate, a group that I am proud to be part of: meet the Calvary Bible Church Family.

We call ourselves a “family” here at Calvary because we all claim God as our Heavenly Father and because we desire to treat each other as brothers and sisters in Christ. We strive to accept one another, worship and learn and serve with one another, spend time with one another, care about one another, and share with one another in both the good and bad times of life. We come from all over the Kankakee area and beyond. We have a variety of backgrounds, interests, an occupations, but we are drawn together by our common beliefs, desires, and commitments.

We are partners in living out the Great Command to love one another as we strive to serve every age and stage of life. We are also partners in the Great Commission to “make disciples of all nations” through local outreach and global support of over 20 missionaries around the world.

Calvary Bible Church is part of the Evangelical Free Church of America, a fellowship of over 1,100 churches who share our commitment to the inspiration and authority of the Bible. This partnership with other local churches enables us to take part in ministries which are beyond the resources of the average local church.
